Pelicans at Grizzlies

The country will be tuning in tonight to watch Ja Morant. He’s the main draw for the TNT audience, as the Grizzlies have become a fashionable team in the second half of the NBA season.

But the smart viewers will be looking toward the other sideline. There, they’ll find the Pelicans, a sneaky hot team.

Since the All-Star break, New Orleans is 4-1. The Pelicans’ only loss came on Sunday night when they gave one away down the stretch in Denver. They’ll be looking to bounce back tonight in Memphis.

Going on the road won’t be easy, but the numbers suggest that the Pelicans are the way to lean. They are 8-1 against the spread (ATS) in their last nine road games, 6-1 ATS as road underdogs.

Meanwhile, the Grizzlies are scuffling a bit. Memphis is just 3-3 in their last six games, including an ugly loss on Sunday in Houston.
