The best team in hockey will bounce back tonight in New York
March 8, 2022
Avalanche at Islanders
UBS Arena – Elmont, NY
5:30 PM ET
Avalanche -210
Colorado is the best team in the NHL. At 40-11-5, the Avalanche have their sights set on the Presidents’ Trophy.
But the Avs are coming off back-to-back losses for the first time since Nov. 6. It’s been four months since Colorado has needed to get things back on track.
A bounce back is in store, which makes the Avalanche winning in regulation a great value. The money line is -210, so that might be the safer route. But narrowing the victory down to the first 60 minutes buys a lot more juice.
New York is coming off of a victory, having beaten the Blues by a 2-1 count on Saturday. But the Islanders are 0-7 in the last seven games following a victory. Expect that trend to continue.
Speaking of which, the Isles are also 1-8 in their last nine games as a home dog. All things are pointing toward Colorado tonight.
